A useful journey through the drama examination narrative!
I hate and love social media. I hate chinese whispers and how people jump to conclusions and get very concerned about things that quite frankly aren’t true. So here is me, putting down ‘on screen’ what the ‘Drama’ is about Drama.
It is easy for me to write a blog post as an ex-teacher who now works (drowns!) in assessment and the UK graded and general examination system. It isn’t easy however to pull it all together and make sense of it, so goodness only knows how teachers, parents and students are meant to grapple with all the changes.
Let’s start with the beginning and try to keep it simple:
DfE decided to reform qualifications to give them more rigour.
DfE asked subject specialists to come together for round table discussions on the then current subject content and to look at suggestions for new subject content.
